senggarang trip was full of surprises!

i am still trying hard recuperating my loss of sleep over at senggarang. ahh my beauty slp!

hee okay back to the pt!

was rushing out the script on the ferry and thank God i managed to finish it on time and rehearse it once thru (w the help from teammates! thks ppl for so many creative ideas!)
reached tanjung pinang and went to exchange money. everyone's a millionaire all of a sudden!
started to drizzle a bit thankfully it stopped and didnt end up pouring, becus we gotta take motor boat to senggarang.

was seperated into 2 teams to take the motor boat as thr was 18 of us. my boat reached first while the team in another boat has to switch over to another small boat in the middle of the sea! the adults were saying tt it was a good experience!

heh at tt pt of time, i think otherwise. because after huiling's incident, i really got this phobia tt i will fall into the sea! ahhh! in Jesus' name, cancel cancel cancel!

had a time of worship led by shumin. one of the message tt really impacted me was in all the things tt we want to do, if God doesnt bless us, all of it would be in vain. and yes.. we really need to depend and rely on Him! not by our own strength but by His! and i need to be bold when i share His Word for i knw the Word is authentic and undeniable!

as usual, we proceed to a believer's house to have our lunch. she'd cook for us and in return, we would give her a lil offering. she cook not bad and i enjoyed my lunch.. on the floor. haahaa like howe junming prayed thank you God for the food on the floor. nonetheless, i enjoyed my lunch! we had sugarcane too! the only thing is tt its a lil bland as aunt xiuzhu added ice.

we went to visit the biggest temple in senggarang and i was pretty shocked tt its so majestic! as in, the space tt it took up was really big! until a small catholic church thr seems to be the unnoticed one, or i should say, i didnt even took notice of it when i reach thr. we read out verses together as a team thr to claim the Lord's Word as a prayer. it was a different experience!

next was prayer walk and house visitation

i sincerely thank God that most of the girls still remember me! they open up easily and as i invite them for events, they are willing to come and join us! Praise God! :)
as i was visiting a believer's family (Misi's family), i was really thankful! I could really see the change in her and her husband, the house...it's God who has worked in their lives! Even their youngest daughter has accepted Christ over the weekend, praise God!

there was this old grandpa, 85 year old, suffered from stroke, abandoned by his children, and is now staying at senggarang. he lives just beside Misi and its really encouraging to see Misi taking the initiative and effort to look after the old grandpa, even though they are not blood related at all! if u were to ask me this question, i doubt i will agree, to be frank. Misi also shared with one of the teammate that she has a heart for old people since young, well i guess this is a gift from God, tt not many people has!

on the first day, the old grandpa accepted Christ, and on the second day as we go hse visiting again, we had holy communion with him together. it was really a touching scene that has left quite an impression to me. i have never thought of having holy communion at seng! i thank God for being able to witness to serve as a great encouragement to me! Amen!

sister Jerene was trying to do healing for the old grandpa and as we were standing outside, we were playing a part by praying. it touches me when i see sis jerene helping the grandpa to massage his hands and pray for him... i hope God will instill this kind of love in me for elderly!

the youth programmes that we had on sat night and sun morning was successful thru the Lord's guiding. we presented the skit You Are Special to the youths. although the people who came were quite young and are not the regulars, i thank God for a see a few youths who were really attentive during the skit. i pray and ask that they will continue to ponder on it and know tt each individuals are special and precious in God's sight :)

would like to share about this youth called Meifu...
he is a christian and shared with shumin and i on our way back to take motor boat. it is definately heart warming to see that he has lived the Word out, amen? during a sunday school class tt he attended, he learnt tt he shd love his friends, so now, he will not scold his friends back if his friends scold him. although it is a very simple example, but hey! i am sure thru these actions is by God's grace and mercy! and when we asked 'em to write their ambition on a card, he wrote to tell someone about Jesus :D

i look forward to the next trip, to tell the youths more about Jesus Christ! Amen! :)
