i'm so glad that i'm back to the monthly GoForth meeting. =D
anyways, it is a small group of us who responded during GoForth (a mission conference) last year and started to have training to equipt ourselves.

we were supposed to learn on buddhism today but the trainer didn't turn up. so we read an article on short-term missions and find out what are the criticism and advantages.

short term mission trips can:
create opportunities for long term missionaries (accelerate the work)
more dedicated during the trip as time is running short (sense of urgency)
encourgae long term missionaries/believers there
opportunities to test your faith/gifts

to christians reading this, do give it a try! it may not be your calling to be a missionary but it is our responsibility. we always think of our weaknesses when we're deciding to go for missions, short term missions help us to depend and put our trust in Him!

my friends may question why i always go for mission trips, i hope today's entry expains why. it's something i really enjoy doing and see the purpose of doing it. =)

had prayer meeting! been so long since RYM had our monthly prayer meet! it was great! testimonies to give glory to the One who deserves it all. glad to see how my brothers & sisters are blessed in one way or another.

SLAM Souls! =D gospel methods were taught and each of us received gospel bracelet - the 5 colours (wordless book) love it! gonna wear it whereever i go, hahah! =p
interesting ideas for the postcard methods! had a great time with rymers!

dinner with the girls was great, been so long since i had dinner with them too. (there's so many "been so long" today huh!) pastor seow came and joined us later on and he told us how he used to give corporal punishment to his catholic high students last time.
