thank you Lord, for the songs which encouraged me greatly and the sermon 60% registered in my brain which spoke to me, somehow. "i'm a young and mighty warrior!"
at the start of worship, i made a simple prayer "Lord, i wanna experience you! prepare my heart and help me to be able to worship you from the bottom of my heart."
Christian City Church led worship and i wasn't familiar with their songs. as the 2nd song was coming to an end, i prayed again, "Lord, can i have a song whereby i know how to sing?"
ta dah! 3rd song, Hiding Place, i knew this song and i was really worshipping with a thankful and encouraged heart. even thru worship, in this lil way, God allowed me to experience Him.
"God can heal, even through worship!" - this impacted me! because i was praying for my yeye while CCC was leading worship.
2nd round of worship was led by Don Moen! love it! =D the songs were meaningful and touched me greatly. and one of the song mentioned about the sick getting healed or smth like that. i kept praying for yeye! God, is this an affirmation? let it be, yes?
i was trying very hard to follow the sermon, part of it was because i'm in a sleepy mood (lack of slp! shoo elephants!) some parts that i've caught was:
youths are gonna change the world and i'm a mighty warrior for Him. the heavenly Father looks at us with lens for the future. wow, i'm gonna be part of this to change the world! and i have no worries because my future is in His hands.
and yes! lyrics during worship was encouraging because recently i was really discouraged by some comments on my christian life. to my friend, probably my life's boring, because i seem to always talk about Jesus. to them, i'm just busy with church and studies. yes indeed, i may be missing out a lot in enjoying myself with friends but i guess this is a matter of priority. i'm just disappointed and hurt why sometimes my friends don't understand.
as if you go church you'll do well in exams and those who don't won't. i think this is insulting.
but it doesn't matter. only God's eyes matter.
not that i'm saying my friends aren't important, but somehow, it's just a great disappointment.
thank you Lord, you told me not to deny you when i'm on the verge of giving up and that i am a mighty warrior for you. thank you, it's such a privilege. and i will continue to live a fulfilling life and not be affected easily. =)
and of course, on my side, i'll do something about it too.
true friends are those who will be with you with you whenever you need them, pray together with you and encourage you and point you back to God.
oh okay! if you're thinking, then non christians cannot be my true friend?
i don't mean that.
yay sam, if you're reading this, you're one of the few okay?
jogging on fridays darling! <3
that's all for FOP day 1 and my current thoughts.
should i go for day 2? projects are like, over? umm!
